This is probably the first time I have painted a ship, and I was so cautious about its form that my perspective became very dependent on the subject. If I am not used to drawing to a certain extent, I cannot approach a flat position of consciousness. Or the fact that I can’t get close to it is proof that my own attitude toward depiction is not in order. And the strong awareness that I must not make a mistake in the shape of this ship made me more dependent on the subject. It’s the worst possible outcome, but I learned a lot.
